Frequently Asked Questions: Questions About Towing

What Can Commercial Roadside Assistance Do For Me?

No one wants to be stranded on the side of the road. When people think of roadside assistance, they most often think of passenger vehicles, but truckers need help, too. A  commercial roadside assistance policy is important no matter what type of vehicle you drive.

When you purchase a commercial roadside assistance policy, you know that you are protected in the event of:

A breakdown

A dead battery

A flat tire

A lockout

An empty gas tank

A collision

Whether you need assistance on an urban road or a rural highway, you know that help is just a phone call away. You don’t have to worry about contacting various agencies or be concerned with how you will get back on the road.

In addition to assisting you in the events listed above, many commercial roadside assistance policies  provide discounts on hotels, shopping and more. These discounts can save you hundreds, especially if you spend weeks on the road.

You may think that roadside assistance is something that you don’t need to be concerned about as a truck driver, but we disagree. Even with appropriate maintenance, your rig may leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. It’s important to know that you aren’t alone.

Who will tow my car?

Encore roadside assistance calls are dispatched from our call centers located through-out the United States and Canada. A dispatch agent routes the service call to one of 21,000 local towing providers across the U.S. and beyond, each of which has been pre-qualified for professionalism, service and timeliness.

Do I have to pay out-of-pocket for towing?

You will only have to pay for any costs in excess of the $100 per occurrence limit, plus any non-covered costs. If your towing service exceeds the mileage benefit for your plan you will be responsible for paying for any mileage over and beyond your towing benefit limit.

What if I don’t know where I am when my car breaks down?

Don’t worry, we’ll find you! Our  emergency dispatch system technology helps capture your car’s breakdown location when you call us from any wireless or landline phone, so we can dispatch one of our service providers to you faster and get you back on the road as soon as possible.
